2017 Summer Reading Program

Who Can Participate?

“Build a Better World” is the theme for the 2017 preschool (0 to Pre-K), children (rising K to 5th grade), and teen (rising 6th to 12th grade) programs.

How Does It Work?

Take the 20/20 Challenge! Read for at least 20 minutes a day, and when you have completed 20 days of reading (in a row or not!), stop by the library to claim your free book and a certificate for Thomas Sweet. Complete 10-day bonus rounds for additional fun incentive prizes.

When Does It Happen?

Registration opens on Friday, June 16 and closes on August 1, 2017. Prizes may be collected through Friday, September 1, 2017. To register and get a reading record, please see the Youth Services staff at the information desk on the third floor.

Summer Events

We have a full slate of fun and engaging events for kids of all ages. In addition to our regular weekly storytimes, our summer will be busy with special programs, guests, and activities.
