Baby Talk Parent Discussion Group – Session 1

September 15 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 10:00am on Friday, repeating until October 13, 2017

This five-week session meets for one hour weekly on Sept. 15, 22, 29; Oct. 6, 13.

Using books, podcasts and articles as a starting point, parents of children from birth to 24 months will learn more about babyhood. We’ll discuss relationship-based approaches to raising capable and confident kids, how to respond to everyday challenges effectively and respectfully and provide support to each other while navigating the complicated world of modern day parenting. While parents talk, babies will have the opportunity to socialize and play in a setting that inspires curiosity, creativity and focus.

Discussions will be led by Clancy August, who has completed the Resources for Infant Educarers (RIE)(R) Foundations training and draws on her background in Behavioral Neuroscience and Library & Information Science to research parenting and educational philosophies that support healthy emotional, social, intellectual and physical development.

Registration required and limited to 10 participants with a current library card.

Thank you for your interest in "Baby Talk." Registration has closed for Session 1. If you have questions, please contact mbowlin@princetonlibrary.org.
