The Friends of the Princeton Public Library are dedicated to supporting, enhancing and promoting the work of the Library. The Friends consists of more than 1,000 people who contribute to the Library's Annual Appeal. Additional funds are realized through the 3-day Annual Book Sale, the ongoing gently used book sale and the Annual Benefit. The Friends use these funds to make an annual gift to the library which supplements public funds allocated by Princeton Borough and Township. The Friends provide crucial funding for collection development. This includes buying books, DVDs, music CDs, audio books and much more. The Friends also underwrite the programming budget, enabling us to offer almost 1,500 programs and events in the library every year. The Friends are also the sole source of funding for staff development and continuing education.
