Founded in 1786, but only
published continuosly since 1832, the Princeton
Packet has changed names and hands several times.
From a small weekly community newspaper run by
two people the Packet became in the late 1960s
a publisher of several regional newspapers. Since
1983 the Princeton Packet has been published twice
a week on Tuesdays and Fridays. It covers both
the borough and township of Princeton and their
surrounding communities. On Fridays it publishes
Time Off, a separate section dedicated to arts
and entertainment including a calendar of events.
Every other week it publishes Princeton Business
Journal, a separate section focused on local business
news.

Founded in 1946 by Princeton
University graduates Dan Coyle and Don Stuart.
Town Topics is a weekly community newspaper in
tabloid form published every Wednesday and distributed
free to every household in Princeton Borough and
Princeton Township. It covers local government
news, including municipal meetings, Princeton
school news, and events of local organizations
and clubs. It also includes a calendar of events.

U.S.1 covers the Route 1 corridor from Trenton
to New Brunswick; it is distributed free to local
businesses and organizations. U.S.1 covers business
and entertainment, including a complete calendar
of community events. The newspaper keeps up a
listing of new businesses as well as defunct ones
in the area. The website offers an up-to-date
calendar of what's happening in Princeton and
central New Jersey. Includes business events,
arts and entertainment, charity outings, historical
festivals, sports.
