DESCRIPTION
MIMA Music is an international NGO and American 501(c)3
nonprofit corporation whose mission is to inspire students of all
ages with a lifelong appreciation for music-making. It attempts
to identify the brightest and friendliest musicians around the
world and help them to use music to make an impact on
underserved communities. It opens free MIMA schools in
strategic locations and produces free live performances,
festivals, recordings and films. MIMA's specialty is tiving free
music lessons to at-risk youth, hosting jam sessions with
musicians from around the world and marketing programs at a
grass roots level.
