DESCRIPTION
The mission of Dress for Success Mercer County is to promote
the economic independence of disadvantaged women by
providing professional attire, a network of support and career
development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. Each
client receives an interview suit when she arrives for a first
suiting in preparation for an interview. Once the woman gets a
job, there is a second suiting at which she can receive up to a
week's worth of clothes. Dress for Success relies on financial
contributions, in-kind donations and volunteer efforts of
individuals and companies. Clients are referred through a variety
of social service agencies.
PROGRAMS
Professional Women's Group: offers women ongoing support
as they transition into the workforce. Once a woman joins PWG
she is a member for life and can attend meetings at any
affiliate throughout the world and can benefit from additional
employment retention and monitoring programs.
