Breast Cancer Education and Outreach: BCRC helps community
organizations, school classes, church groups, companies, or
women's groups to get the facts about breast cancer through
the Women of Wisdom (WoW) program. The WoW program
discusses risk factors, symptoms and screening, and includes a
demonstration of breast self-examination (BSE) and a breast
cancer survivor's personal story. BCRC also participates in
community and health fairs sponsored by community groups,
medical associations and corporations. BCRC Peer Educators
are available to answer questions, teach BSE, and provide
educational materials to take home. Call BCRC to arrange for a
WoW program, or to have BCRC attend a community or health
fair.
Wellness Program: Provides free classes such as yoga, water wellness,
movement and art therapy for breast cancer patients/survivors
to help maintain quality of life during and after breast cancer
treatment. Call BCRC for class schedule.
