DESCRIPTION
An organization established by and for dancers in order to
promote and develop social dancing in the Central
Jersey/Princeton area. The main goals of the organization are: 1)
to promote and develop camaraderie between dancers of all
levels; 2) to introduce beginners to the joys of dancing and to
the dance community; 3) to provide dance events and
workshops; 4) to associate and work with other dance
organizations in the area; 5) to promote or provide events that
may include friendly competition and showcase venues. Each
dance includes a lesson followed by open dancing to live or
recorded music. Dances usually meet at either the Suzanne
Patterson Center or Unitarian Universalist Church in Princeton.
PROGRAMS
No Name Dance: 1st SAT of the month, features California Mix
dance styles, including Latin, Hustle, Swing, Night Club 2-Step
and some Ballroom
Salsa Sensation: 3rd SAT of the month; features Latin styles including
Salsa, Mambo, Cha Cha, Merengue and Bachata.
Jersey Jumpers: 3rd FRI of the month; features primarily East Coast
Swing and Lindy Hop, with music from the 1930's through the
present day, and some West Coast Swing.
Tango: 4th SAT of the month.
Ballroom Blitz: 2nd SAT of the month; features foxtrot, waltz, tango,
rhumba, quickstep, swing and Latin mix.
