DESCRIPTION

Albemarle is a challenging co-educational summer camp for 7- to

14-year-olds. The camp, a program of the American Boychoir

School, is held on the school's campus in Princeton. Albemarle

welcomes any child, with or without prior musical training. No

auditions are held. Both day and boarding spots are available.

Three sessions are held during the summer. For 2008: June 22-

July 5, July 6-July 19, July 20 - Aug. 2.

PROGRAMS

Musicianship Training Program: offers creative music-making

utilizing the philosophies of Carl Orff, Zoltan Kodaly, and

Edward Gordon. Recorder ensemble work available with

previous training.

Small Group Vocal Training: A program which offers campers

age 12 and up daily experience with a vocal instructor in groups

of four.

Sports and Recreation Program: Includes swimming and arts &

crafts.
