PROGRAMS
ROCKETS: a modular theme-based early literacy program
focused on improving the math and science skills of preschool
children. It was developed by the Junior League of Greater
Princeton in collaboration with the students, parents and staff
of Trenton Head Start. The program includes a monthly
classroom activity, take-home activities to reinforce the themes
and encourage parental involvement. Field trips for parents
and students are related to the monthly theme.
State Public Affairs Committee (SPAC): Representatives from
the eight NJ Junior Leagues, who advocate on behalf of issues
impacting women, children, the environment and education.
Community Service Grants: $10,000 in grant monies awarded
every April to local non-profit agencies within Bucks, Mercer and
surrounding counties for projects or programs specifically
designed to support early childhood education and literacy.
Scholarships: Two or three awarded in May or June at the
annual dinner to college-bound girls who have demonstrated a
commitment to volunteerism through a wide range of activities.
Applications are due in March.
Designer Showhouse and Gardens: biennial fundraiser held
since 1974, featuring the work of prominent designers and
