DESCRIPTION
The local fund-raising chapter of a national organization that
works to fulfill the wishes of chronically or terminally ill children,
many of whom suffer from kidney disease, leukemia, or cancer.
It raises funds to send children ages 3 - 18 and their families on
vacations together to their own Dream Village in Florida, and to
Disneyworld (on advice of the children's doctors) and arranges
other events, such as meetings with celebrities, to make sick or
dying children happy. Dreams are arranged by headquarters in
Pennsylvania.
PROGRAMS
Dreamlifts: A local program which charters airplanes to take
groups of seriously ill, physically challenged and abused children
to Disneyworld for the day.
