DESCRIPTION

A local support group for patients with ALS (Amyotrophic

Lateral Sclerosis), also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease, and their

families and friends.  The disease is a progressive, degenerative

disease caused by the destruction of the nerve cells in the

spinal cord and brain that control the ability to use muscles.
