DESCRIPTION

A museum that offers exhibit galleries, a living history program

featuring New Jersey's role in the American

Revolution.  The Barracks were originally built in 1758 by the

colony of New Jersey to house British soldiers during the French

and Indian War.  It housed Hessians before the Battle of

Trenton, and was used as a military hospital to inoculate soldiers

against smallpox during much of the Revolutionary War.  The

museum also offers indoor or outdoor rental space for private events.
