DESCRIPTION
Founded in 1970 by a group of parents determined to find a
cure for Type 1 diabetes and its complications, JDRF has
directed more than $1 billion in research grants to laboratories,
universities, and medical centers in 20 countries. The
organization provides social, emotional and practical support to
children and adults who are newly diagnosed with diabetes, and
to their families.
