DESCRIPTION
Founded by the Rev. John Knox Shaw of the Methodist Church,
Pennington is a co-educational school which enrolls 450 day and
boarding students in grades 6-12 and prepares them for
college through a curriculum notable for its sensitivity to diverse
learning styles. It is distinguished by small classes, individual
attention, and honors and Advanced Placement courses in all
disciplines. An athletic program and extensive extracurricular
opportunities for both boys and girls are also provided. English
as a Second Language is available.
PROGRAMS
Center for Learning: Prepares talented students with learning
disabilities for college study.
International Student Program: A program which provides a
year-long intensive English curriculum designed to prepare
foreign students for university entrance, and enhances the
diversity of the student body.
