DESCRIPTION
An independent, college-preparatory school for girls grades K
through 12, Stuart is one of 21 member schools in the
nationwide Network of the Sacred Heart. It is situated on a 55-
acre wooded campus in Princeton and serves approximately 554
students. Stuart offers a focus on academic excellence, a spirit
of community and a commitment to service.
In the Lower School (grades PK-5), emphasis is placed on the acquisition of
basic skills. Both foreign language and computer skills are
taught beginning in junior kindergarten. In Middle School (grades 6-8)
students focus on study strategies, the expression of thought
and interpersonal relationships in and out of the classroom. The
Upper School (grades 9-12) offers a curriculum with an
increased choice of electives, an international and national
exchange program and a full range of Advanced Placement
courses.
The school is fully networked, with computer instruction beginning in junior kindergarten. Computer labs are available to students
throughout the school.
After-School programs are provided for students in preschool
through grade 8. There is a co-educational pre-school program.

Association of Colleges and Schools, and is a member of the
National Association of Independent Schools, the New Jersey
Association of Independent Schools, the National Coalitoin
of girls' Schools, the Secondary School Admission Board, the

Association for Supervision and Curriculum.
