CREED and Law and Liberty Trust were separate entities.

DESCRIPTION

The merged groups maintained a common goal of bringing a

Christian perspective to the process of renewal and

democratization in Russia and other former Soviet republics. 

Close working relationships were forged with leading progressive members of their parliaments, executive branches, lawyers, academics, clergy, and individual

citizens, who were actively involved in promoting democracy and

the rule of law, and also with those involved in presenting the

Christian world view and protecting religious freedom.
