DESCRIPTION

The American Conference on Diversity is a nonprofit

organization dedicated to valuing diversity, educating leaders

and promoting respect. Based in New Brunswick, NJ with eight

volunteer chapters throughout the state, including the Princeton

Area Capital Chapter, the organization provides diversity

education and training, promoting inclusive workplaces, schools,

colleges/universities and communities. The ShopRite Center for

Workplace Diversity provides workplace diversity education. The

Youth Leadership Institute provides diversity education for high

schools and colleges.

PROGRAMS

Youth Leadership Institute: customized programming for

schools, colleges and universities.

Lead for Diversity: a week-long residential retreat for young

people, offering workshops, cooperative learning activities, and

special events designed to help high school students learn

about themselves, how to live with other members of our

diverse society and to create an inclusive school environment.

Manytown, NJ: series of school-based, one-day youth

leadership training forums held throughout the year, designed

to raise awareness and interest in issues of diversity and

prejudice reduction.

ShopRite Center for Workplace Diversity assists companies and

nonprofits to address their diversity-related human relations

problems.

Institute for Professional Development: provides cultural

competency training for healthcare professionals, educators

and other professional groups.
