DESCRIPTION
NJAHSA is a statewide association of not-for-profit senior care
organizations and is dedicated to advancing quality aging
services in New Jersey through advocacy, education and
fellowship. The organization represents not-for-profit nursing
homes, assisted living residences, residential health care
centers, independent senior housing, and continuing-care
retirement comunities throughout New Jesey. It serves more
than 135 member facilities, many of which are supported
through religious, fraternal and government sponsorship. In
support of its mission, NJAHSA encourages collaboration with
businesses, communities, state and local governments and
other public and private entities committed to enhancing quality
of life for New Jersey's senior citizens. NJAHSA is a state affiliate
of the American Association of Homes and Services for the
Aging (AAHSA).
PROGRAMS
Various educational programs and special events are held
throughout the year, such as the NJAHSA annual meeting and
exhibition, the Quality First Golf Classic, education, advocacy,
and other member services activities.
