DESCRIPTION

A center for international students, visiting scholars and their

families which offers them a sense of community and ushers

them into the American way of life.  It is also a clearinghouse of

information and an outreach center which taps the diverse

cultural resources of Princeton University's international

members and makes them available to the community at large.

PROGRAMS

Host Program:  Opportunity for Princeton University's foreign

students and visiting scholars to find a home away from home;

local families involve them in day trips, holiday celebrations,

English Conversation Partnership Program:  Program for foreign

newcomers to develop competence in English by

engaging in everyday conversation on a weekly basis.

Friends of the International Center:  An organization which

supports, supplies volunteers, and raises funds for the

International Center.  The group has its own board and is

responsible for the Host Program, the English Conversation

Partnership Program, and other events and programs. Alison Hankinson,
