DESCRIPTION
The local chapter of a national not-for-profit organization
offering support and encouragement to women who have left
the paid workforce to raise their children at home, women
dealing with transitions between paid employment and at-home
motherhood, or women who are jointly pursuing professional
goals and family life. It advocates for choice in how one
combines working and parenting.
PROGRAMS
Activities include play groups, community service, book group,
mothers'-nights-out and statewide conferences. Recent
programs have included facilitated discussions, and speakers
presenting topics such as Ask the Pediatrician, the Importance
of Family Rituals and Traditions, and How to Choose a preschool.
