DESCRIPTION

A voluntary charitable organization which raises money to

support needed Mercer County area services which are focused

on the following goals: building self-sufficiency, strengthening

families, building strong and diverse communities, promoting

health and well-being and responding to crises.

PROGRAMS

First Call for Help:  Program which provides information on

health and human services available in the greater Mercer

County area, and links people with the services they need.  24

hours a day/7 days a week.  Call 2-1-1 from any landline or

cellular telephone in Mercer County.

Centers of Excellence:  Program which provides community

capacity building and resource identification.  Works with

business and community leaders to find solutions to human

service needs. Call 609-637-4910.

Mercer County First Book Local Advisory Board:  Part of a

national initiative (First Book http://www.firstbook.org) which

provices books to local literacy programs.  Their mission is to

provide low income children with their first book.  Call 609-637-

4910.
