DESCRIPTION
Planned Parenthood Association of the Mercer Area (PPAMA)
provides comprehensive, low-cost reproductive health servies
for the women, men and teens of the Mercer County area.
Daytime and evening appointments are offered at four sites in
Mercer County. No one is turned away because of inability to
pay, and all services are confidential, regardless of age. Fees
assessed on a sliding scale; Medicaid and most private insurance
is accepted.
PROGRAMS
The Education Department provides education on a range of
sexual health topics in a variety of educational and community
settings. The education and peer mentor programs seek to
empower parents, youth, teachers and community
professionals to increase conversation about sex and sexuality
and provide medically accurate information.
Student-run Vox groups are designed to educate, inspire and
unite a new generation of pro-choice Americans in support of
reproductive health and freedom. Vox students work to raise
public awareness about reproductive rights and sexual well-
being through organizaing events, sponsoring speakers and
workshops, and tabling on college campuses.
