DESCRIPTION

A federally funded supplemental food program for eligible

pregnant and postpartum women, breastfeeding women, infants

and children up to age 5. Those eligible for the Trenton WIC

program must reside in New Jerey, meet the WIC income

guidelines and have a medical or nutritional health risk. Eligible

persons receive monthly vouchers for selected nutritious foods

(redeemable at participating stores), nutrition education,

breastfeeding education and support, immunization

assessments and healthcare referrals. Proof of income, address

and personal ID documents will be required when applying for WIC services.
