DESCRIPTION

A private foundation which promotes journalism careers and

sponsors the following programs:  Journalism workshops for

high school students; internships for college and

graduate students (the over 100 internships offered through

national competitions are at daily newspapers and carry

scholarships); annual selection of the High School Journalism

Teacher of the Year; and grants to colleges and universities to

operate workshops for high school journalism teachers and

publications advisers. Journalism career literature is also

published.  Write for information and application deadlines.

PROGRAMS

Two Internship Programs, both of which include training

sessions: 1.  Business Reporting Program for college

sophomores, juniors and seniors; 2) Newspaper Editing Program for

college juniors, seniors and graduate students.
