DESCRIPTION
A federally funded agency which provides pre-school age
children of low-income families with a comprehensive program to
meet their educational, emotional, social, health, nutritional and
psychological needs at no cost to families meeting federal
income guidelines. There are four major service areas of Head
Start: Education, Health/Nutrition, Social Service and Parent
Involvement, which promote self esteem, selfworth and self
pride.
