DESCRIPTION

A non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives

of individuals with autism and their families. Programs include

a day school, community-based residential services, employment

opportunities, and outreach services.  Licensed by the New

Jersey Department of Education and the New Jersey Division of

Developmental Disabilities.  Accredited by the National

Commission for the Accreditation of Special Education Services. 

Member of New Jersey Association of Schools and Agencies for

the Handicapped (ASAH), and New Jersey Center for Outreach

and Services for the Autism Community (COSAC).

PROGRAMS

The Eden Institute, Inc.:  12-month day school program for

children with autism, ages 3-21.  Instruction given in one-to-

one, two-to-one, or small group sessions, based on behavior

analysis; speech/language and Adaptive Physical Education

included.  Offers extended year summer programs, in-home

respite care, parent training, work-study program.  Contact

Wawa House:  Infant & Toddler program, a specialized early

intervention program for children ages birth - 3 years which

offers therapy, parent training, advocacy and support services.

Eden Adult Services: includes residential and employment services for

adults with autism. Residential: provides community residences; supervises

living experience for individuals in its care, and coordinates community

interaction. Currently operates 11 group homes and four supported

living apartments. Employment: Program for adults with autism which

administers a continuum of vocational and employment services including

secure, supported and competitive employment. Contact Jamie

The Eden Institute Foundation, Inc.:  A tax-exempt entity,

founded in 1984,  which performs public relations duties and

raises operating capital and endowment funds to support the
