DESCRIPTION

A government agency which operates and maintains a wide

variety of facilities which offer recreational and leisure activities

to all Mercer County residents. Additional information about

PROGRAMS

Mercer County Park: Large county-run general purpose park

equipped with baseball fields, soccer fields, basketball courts,

and picnic areas located in West Windsor Township,

Quakerbridge and Old Trenton Rds.; 609-448-7107.

Howell Living History Farm:  Family farm in Hopewell Township

in the process of restoration to the period 1900-1910,

Sports Facilities: 1) Mercer County Ice Skating Center - Public

ice skating rink open from mid-NOV to mid-MAR which also

offers skate rentals.  Located in Mercer County Park; 609-371-

1669. 2) Mercer County Outdoor Tennis Center:  Public tennis

courts open APR to OCT located in Mercer County Park.  609-

448-8007. 3) Mercer County Indoor Tennis Center:  Public

tennis courts located in the Mercer County Airport complex,

Bear Tavern Rd., West Trenton, NJ  08628; 609-883-5768.

Open October to April.  4) Boat Marina:  Public marina on the

lake in Mercer County Park equipped with paddle boats and

rowboats.  Open MAY - SEPT; 609-448-4004.  5) Mercer Oaks

Golf Course:  Public golf course in West Windsor; 609-936-

1383.  6) Mountain View Golf Course:  Public golf course in

Ewing Township; 609-882-4093. 7) Princeton Country Club: 

Public golf course in West Windsor Township, Wheeler Way and

U.S. Highway #1, Princeton, NJ  08540; 609-452-9382.


Herrontown Woods Arboretum:  142-acre natural area in

Princeton Township with trails open to the public year-round.

Adult Sports Leagues:  1) Soccer - A program open to all men

aged 18 and up.  There are summer and fall leagues.  Teams

are sponsored by area businesses.  There is no fee.  Call Ron

Cefalone, 609-448-7643. 2) Softball - A program open to all

men aged 18 and up.  There are summer and fall leagues.

Equestrian Center (Manager-Christine Cardinal):  A boarding

and teaching facility.  The barn has the potential to board 14 to

16 horses year round.  Programs presently operating include

horse shows, trail riding and group activities.  Call 609-730-
