The local chapter of a national organization, which presents five

or six public lectures each academic year on current

developments in archaeology of all places and periods;

opportunities are provided to meet other interested individuals

and discuss issues with the speakers. Lectures are open to

anyone who is interested; however, attendees are encouraged

to join the national organization of the Archaeological Institute

of America
