DESCRIPTION

A non-profit, sister city organization founded in recognition of

the contributions of Americans of Italian descent to the quality

of life in Princeton NJ, and America; to act as a community

service organization dedicated to providing community services;

to creating cultural exchange for educational and better societal

understanding; to perpetuate the heritage and common bond

between the Italian village of Pettoranello (where many Italian-

American residents of the Princeton area are from) and the

Princeton community as a whole.

PROGRAMS

The various programs sponsored by the organization include: 

exchange visits to Italy and Princeton; cultural programs; music

exchanges; grants to the Princeton Public Library for materials

in Italian; Italian studies scholarships to local students.

Pettoranello Gardens:  Program in which volunteers work to

restore, enhance and expand a 13-acre segment of Community

Park North (Rte 206 and Mountain Ave.).  Work is done every

Sunday morning, APR-NOV; the Princton Recreation Dept. and

Princeton Township Public Works contribute to the effort.  Call
