DESCRIPTION
A state government corporation, administered by the New
Jersey Department of Transportation, which operates and
oversees the state's bus and rail transportation systems.
PROGRAMS
Access Link: A transportation service using wheelchair
accessible vans and mini-buses which provides bus service to
certified disabled people who, because of their disabilities,
cannot use NJ Transit buses. Reservations must be made 24
hours in advance. Call 800-955-2321 MON-FRI: 8:00 AM -
4:00 PM. TTY 800-955-6765.
Reduced Fare Program: A service which provides ID cards for
certified persons age 62 and older and disabled persons, so
that they may ride for half fare on participating bus and rail
lines. Hours valid: weekdays between 9:30 AM - 4:00 PM and
7:00 PM - 6:00 AM; all day Sat., Sun, and state holidays. Call
