DESCRIPTION

The local government body which oversees and regulates health

services and standards in Princeton Borough and Township. The Board of Health was established in 1880.

PROGRAMS

Healthy Child/Well Baby Clinic:  For infants and children to age

seven, provides routine physical examinations, immunizations,

and hearing and development tests.  First and third Thursdays

of each month at Princeton Medical Center Medical Arts Building,

Witherspoon and Henry.  Call 609-497-4900.

Sexually Transmitted Disease Clinic:  Free walk-in clinic every

Tuesday evening at 6:00 at Princeton Medical Center.  All

services are free and confidential.|Home Nursing Program: 

Available in conjunction with the Princeton Medical Center's

Department of Home Care for people with heart disease,

diabetes, cancer, etc.  Call 609-497-4900.

Influenza Immunization Clinics:  Held each fall in conjunction

with the Senior Resource Center.  Call the Health Dept. or the

Senior Resource Center.

W.I.C. (Women, Infants and Children Nutrition Program):  See

separate entry.

Licensing/inspecting/permits - Food establishments, pools,

day care centers, camps, nursery schools, septic systems,

wells; Environmental protection - Asbestos and lead paint

identification and removal, radon testing, hazardous materials

investigations
