DESCRIPTION
A county government agency administered by the Mercer
County Department of Human Services which identifies the
needs of, and advocates for, all senior citizens in Mercer County.
It also administers the Older American Act funds and State of
New Jersey funds which pass through the New Jersey Division of
Senior Affairs and provides needed services for older residents
of Mercer County through sub-grants with community agencies.
PROGRAMS
Mercer County Information and Assistance/Outreach & Care
Management: Program which provides information and
assistance to older people in Mercer County. Assistance is
provided in the following areas: Benefits screening,
comprehensive assessment and reassessment of needed
homecare services, care planning and management for clients
under waiver programs.
Congregate Nutrition Services
Additional Services: Home-delivered meals, disease prevention,
certified home health aides, legal services, senior mental health,
socialization and recreation, telephone reassurance,
transportation, adult day care and respite care, volunteer
services, safe housing and transportation, adult protective
service, care management and housekeeping assistance.
