DESCRIPTION

A veterans fraternal organization founded to uphold and defend

the Constitution of the United States, to help fellow war

veterans, their widows or widowers and/or their orphans, and to

sponsor programs which encourage patriotism and develop

citizenship.  Activities include holiday patriotic observances,

youth baseball, Jersey Boys State, school awards, picnics for

disabled veterans, hospital visits to veterans, stand-downs for

homeless veterans, oratorical contest, safety essay contest.

PROGRAMS

Service officer is available to help with claims to the Dept. of

Veterans Affairs and the Dept. of Defense.  Call  609-924-3829.

American Legion Post No.76 Baseball:  No longer active, an 

advanced baseball team which participated in the Mercer County

American Legion Baseball League from 1970-1994.  Little

League team called Post 76 sponsored from 1959 to 2001.
