DESCRIPTION

Juniot Achievement's (JA) mission is to inspire and prepare young

people to succeed in a global economy. Through a dedicated volunteer

JA provides in-school and after-school programs for students in

grades K-12. JA offers workforce readiness programs that focus

on seven key content areas: business, citizenship, economics,

entrepreneurship, ethics/character, financial literacy and career

development. Today JA Worldwide (R) reaches more tyhan 8,300,000

students worldwide in 100 countries. For more information, see www.ja.org.

In 2008 Junior Achievement of New Jersey, a member of JA Worldwide,

will reach approximately 30,000 students in the Garden State.

PROGRAMS

Elementary School Program (ESP):  A program which helps

children in grades K-6 to learn the relevance of education to

the workplace as well as to prepare them for secondary school

and lifelong learning.

Middle School Program:  A program which provides students in

grades 7-9 with the opportunity to participate in a series of

activities to learn how America's private enterprise system

works, to understand the role of entrepreneurs, and to learn

about personal planning responsibilities and careers.

Economics and Workforce Readiness:  A full semester

economics class for grades 10-12 which helps students relate

economic concepts and business principles to real life situations.
