DESCRIPTION

A private, non-profit community-based mental health center

that provides comprehensive services to Mercer County children,

adolescents and adults and their families whose lives are

adversely affected by emotional distress and psychiatric illness.

Fees are based on ability to pay.

PROGRAMS

Outpatient Services: Personalized confidential counseling by

Master's level social workers and counselors. The psychiatric

staff provides evaluation consultation and medication

management services. Specific treatment opportunities include

individual, group and family therapy, psychoeducation, case

management, psychiatric evaluation and medication monitoring.

Latino Outreach Program: Offers bilingual, bicultural mental

health outreach and outpatient services to non-English

speaking Latinos and their families living in Mercer County.

Rehabilitation Services: Help in recovery from mental illness and

co-occurring disorders, enabling clients to lead socially and

economically productive lives in the community. Client service

plans are individually tailred with full client consent and

involvement.

Partial Care Program: An intensive psychiatric day-treatment

program that emphasizes preventive care through illness

management and wellness training and education. Development

of community living skills and vocational readiness are also

featured. Services are available in a 5-day-a-week daytime

program and in evening peer support groups.

Integrated Case Management Services: in collaboration with,

and under the administrative direction of, Greater Trenton

Behavioral Health Care, this program offers clients discharged

from Trenton Psychiatric Hospital the help they need, where

and when they need it.


On My Own - Supportive Housing: A collaborative effort with

Catholic Charities and Greater Trenton Behavioral Health Care,

AAMH provides support services to help clients find and secure

permanent housing and promote long-term independent living.
