Ancestry Library

EBSCO eBooks (EBSCO): Try out our starter collection of reference and textbooks. EBSCO eBooks offers the ability to read on the screen and search within the eBook's text. The collection is primarily non-fiction eBooks on topics including Arts and Architecture, Business and Economics, Computer Science, Engineering and Technology, Health and Medicine, History, Law, Literature and Criticism, Mathematics, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Religion, Self-help and Family, Study Aids and Language Learning.

eLibraryNJ: Is a cooperative project where participating New Jersey Libraries offer library card holders downloadable audiobooks. We offer over 4100 of the most popular fiction and nonfiction titles from over 30 publishers ready to download to your PC or portable music player, or burn to CD.

Encyclopaedia Britannica Online: (For access from home, click here.) The entire encyclopedia plus a dictionary, thesaurus, atlas, timelines, video clips and rated and reviewed subject related web sites. For access from the library, click on the home icon or the database title.

ERIC (EBSCO): The acronym for the Educational Resource Information Center which provides access to education literature and resources.

Ferguson's Career Guidance Center: Provides detailed profiles of more than 3,300 jobs and 94 industries, invaluable advice on career skills, more than 48,000 resource entries, and much more.     

Films On Demand: A web-based digital video delivery service that allows you to view streaming videos from Films Media Group anytime, anywhere, 24/7. Choose from more than 6,500 educational titles in many subject areas relating to the humanities and social sciences. These videos can be viewed in the library, a classroom or at home. Financial Ratings Series: Weiss and The Street Ratings: A single source for financial strength ratings and financial planning tools covering Insurance, Banks, Credit Unions, Mutual Funds and Stocks.

GreenFILE: Provides information covering all aspects of human impact to the environment in a collection of scholarly, government and general-interest titles.  Some titles are full text, the rest are abstracts only.

Health Source - Consumer Edition (EBSCO): Provides access to nearly 80 full text, consumer health magazines plus full text of many full text health publications and reports.

Health Source - Nursing/Academic Edition (EBSCO): Provides nearly 550 scholarly full text journals focusing on many medical disciplines.  It also features the Lexi-PAL Drug Guide, which covers 1,300 generic drug patient education sheets with more than 4,700 brand names.  

HeritageQuest (for access inside the library, click here): A comprehensive treasury of American genealogical sources—rich in unique primary sources, local and family histories, and finding aids, with coverage dating back to the 1700s.

Home Improvement Reference Center (EBSCO): Contains magazine articles, reference content, step-by-step instructions, videos, and images designed to help homeowners tackle home improvements and repairs safely. Legal Information Reference Center (EBSCO): Contains hundreds of full-text publications and thousands of legal forms. The full-text legal reference books are provided through Nolo­, the nation's oldest and most respected provider of legal information for consumers and small businesses.  Users can search over 12,800 state-specific legal forms–searchable by top subject areas including Adoption, Bankruptcy, Name Changes and more.

Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts (EBSCO): An index to more than 600 periodicals, plus books, research reports and proceedings on librarianship, classification, cataloging, bibliometrics, online information retrieval, information management and more. Coverage in the database extends back as far as the mid-1960s.

Literary Index: An index only to the major literature series published by Gale - Contemporary Authors, Dictionary of Literary Biography, Contemporary Literature Criticism, etc.

Literary Reference Center (EBSCO): Full text from over 1,000 books and monographs, major literary encyclopedias and reference works, hundreds of literary journals, and unique sources. Includes all MagillOnLiterature Plus content.

Literature Resource Center: Provides access to biographies, bibliographies, and critical analyses of authors from every age and literary discipline.

Local Newspaper Index
: The "Princeton Packet" and "Town Topics." Articles of general interest to the Princeton Community are indexed from 1983 to and including 2006, with obituaries indexed back to 1975. In addition, obituaries from the "Princeton Packet" are indexed from 1892 to 1950. A searchable digital version of the Town Topics from 1947 to 1956 is also available. The digitizing is an ongoing project and more will become available.

Newspaper Source (EBSCO): Selected full text for about 30 national and international newspapers including Washington Post, Boston Globe and New York Daily News, plus radio and TV news transcripts.

News for You Online: A news source designed for people who are learning to read, write, or speak English, seven new stories are posted weekly for 48 weeks a year. These engaging articles, based on world and national news events, are written at reading levels 3-6 and ESL levels high-beginning and low-intermediate. NoveList Plus (EBSCO): A reader's advisory database that provides subject heading access, reviews and annotations for about 150,000 fiction titles and 50,000 nonfiction titles; and over 4000 custom created articles and lists, including readalikes and book discussion questions.
