Join us for some Pi... and, well, some pie!

pi%20day.jpg Do you know someone who looks like Albert Einstein? Bring him to Princeton this Sunday for a chance to win the lookalike contest that is part of a flurry activities on Pi Day!

Beginning at 1pm this Sunday, March 14th, all of Princeton will be celebrating Einstein's birthday (he was born in 1879), thanks to the enthusiastically effusive efforts of Princeton Tour Company owner Mimi Omiecinski. In addition to some fabulous specially priced ($3.14) Einstein tours around town, local merchants will be offering Pi discounts. Look for the special logo in store windows.

Here's a brief overview of the day's events, but do check the Princeton Tour Company's blog for further details:

At 1:00pm meet at Dispensa, the Library Cafe, for a Pie judging contest, which will be followed by a Pi Recitation on the second floor.

At 1:59pm (the next three numbers in Pi) the Plasma Physics Lab will be in the Community Room for fun science experiments for the whole family!

At 3:14pm head to Palmer Square Green for the Pie Throwing event! Bring you own victim OR take it out on one of our targets. On the Green, PNC Bank & McCaffrey's are generously sponsoring the event - PNC with the staff and the singing of Happy Birthday and McCaffrey's with the birthday cake for the town to share!

At 4:45pm head back to Princeton Public Library for the Look A Like Winner Announcement! Sponsored by lillipies! (The winner gets a 3 dimensional cake that looks like Einstein!)
