Recently, we had the rare treat of having an author visit our contemporary fiction book group. Joshua Henkin talked to us about his book, Matrimony, a NYT notable selection. We also got the scoop on the efforts authors need to make to get their books to stand apart from the crowded bookshelves in bookstores across the land. A working author; graduate professor (Sarah Lawrence and Brooklyn College); and father, Josh has forged a path of familiarity among the book group circuit by being so incredibly gracious and willing to travel to personally meet his readers. We were honored that he made the trek down the turnpike to visit us!

For more information about the book groups here at the library, check out the link on our Books and Reading page.
