How do I reserve a pass?
- Passes can be reserved online using your library card number or by calling the Reference Desk at 609.924.9529 x220.
Is there a charge to reserve a pass?
- There is no charge to check out a museum pass. You must have a valid Princeton Public Library adult card.
Who can reserve a pass?
- You will need a valid Princeton Public Library card to place a reservation
- Passes can only be reserved with an adult card. Passes cannot be reserved with a child card (14 and under) .
How many passes can I reserve a day/a month?
- One museum pass can be reserved per day per card
- Up to five museum passes can be reserved in a calendar month
How far in advance can I reserve a pass?
- Reservations can be made up to 90 days in advance.
How many people are admitted to a museum per pass?
- The membership conditions of each museum vary; to view these click on the ?next to the museum graphic in the "Reserve Pass By Museum" view.
What is the "Day of Use"?
- Day of use is the day you plan on visiting the museum. Passes can be picked beginning at 3 p.m. the day prior to the "Day of Use" and MUST be returned by 11 a.m. the day after the "Day of Use" (i.e. "Day of Use" is Friday; pass can be picked up beginning at 3 p.m. on Thursday through closing on Friday and returned by 11 a.m. on Saturday).

What is a "No show"?
- If you do not pick up your pass by the "Day of Use" it will constitute as a "No Show". If the reservation is cancelled the day before or the day of the "Day of Use" it will also be considered a "No Show". If you have two "No Shows" in a 60 day period, your account will be frozen for 60 days and you will not be able to make a reservation during that time.
Can I cancel my reservations?
- Reservations can be cancelled, using your library card, up two days before the "Day of Use". You can cancel online or by calling 609. 924.9529 x 220. If the reservation is cancelled the day before or the day of the "Day of Use" it will be considered a "No Show". If you have two "No Shows" in a 60 day period, your account will be frozen for 60 days and you will not be able to make a reservation during that time.
Where do I pick up my pass?
- All passes must be picked up at the 1st Floor Welcome Desk, no earlier than 3 p.m. prior to the "Day of Use" (i.e. Day of Use is Saturday, can be picked up beginning at 3 p.m. on Friday through closing of Saturday). If you do not pick up your pass by the "Day of Use" it will constitute as a "No Show". If you have two "No Shows" in a 60 day period, your account will be frozen for 60 days and you will not be able to make a reservation during that time.

Do I need my library card to pick up the pass?
- Yes, you MUST present the library card that you used when reserving the pass to pick it up.
Where do I return my pass?
- All passes must be returned to the 1st Floor Welcome Desk (DO NOT PUT IN BOOKDROP) by 11 a.m. after the Day of Use (i.e. "Day of Use" is Friday, return by Saturday at 11 a.m.) On Sundays, passes must be returned at 1 p.m. when the library opens. If the library is closed your pass will be due by 11 a.m. the next day the library is open. The passes must be returned on time so others who have reserved them can pick them up before making the trip to a museum. Our museum partners will not accept a letter in lieu of a missing pass. Please be considerate of others who may be waiting to use the pass.
What is the late fee or replacement fee?
- Late fees for all passes is $10 a day, no exceptions
- If a pass is lost or damaged, the replacement fee will be $25, no exceptions.
