WITHERSPOON STREET SCHOOL.
    An audience that filled the Witherspoon Street Presbyterian Church to overflowing assembled to witnes [sic] the closing exercises of the Witherspoon Street Public School on Thursday afternoon at half past two o'clock. The exercises were good, some of the numbers being excellent. The following was the programme:

    Grammar Department--Lucy Duncan, 25 demerits, first prise [sic], "Ivanhoe." Willie Miller, 40 demerits, second prize, "Boys of '61."

    A gift was presented to Miss Stockton by her pupil, Lizzie Long.
