Princeton Press, Saturday, January 28, 1888: Miss Gussie Dennis of Plainfield, was bridesmaid and Mr. Henry Freeman of Princeton, was groomsman. Mrs. Diana Vanhorn the bride's mother, gave her away. The ladies were elegantly attired and acted their part with becoming grace. Guests were present from various parts of the State and from the State of New York. Among those present were the Rev. and Mrs. W. D. Robeson, of Princeton; Mrs. Jones, of New York; Mr. and Mrs. Douglass and daughter, Mr. Potter, and Miss Dennis of Plainfield; Mrs. Wesley Taylor and son, Mrs. Charles Wolsey, Mrs. Thomas Marsh, and Mrs. David L. Scudder, of New Brunswick; Mr. and Mrs. A. P. Denny, Mr. and Mrs. Wayman Vansant, Mr. and Mrs. T. King, Mrs. Sarah Craig, Mrs. Alice Harwood, Miss Mamie Freeman, Messrs. Wm. Hoagland, George Van, Alex. Ash, Blake Davis, Charles Redding and Wyckoff Redding of Princeton. The ceremony being over the newly married couple were congratulated, and the guests were enjoying themselves, when the supper bell gave notice that the feast was ready. After that the dining room was the center of attraction for a considerable time. Course after course was served, interspersed with toasts, witty remarks, &c. The bride is well known in Princeton, has a large circle of friends, and will take to her new home many valuable presents given by those present, and others. | ||
