  • Poet Chris Hosea ("Put Your Hands In")

    Princeton native Hosea, whose manuscript for his debut collection of poems “Put Your Hands In” was selected by poet John Ashbery as the winner of the 2013 Walt Whitman Award from the Academy of American Poets, reads from and discusses the work. Community Room

    Members of the Princeton High School Chess Club lead these after-school sessions for young people of all ages and abilities. Some instruction will be available in addition to matches. The library provides the chessboards. Story Room

    Are you a student who will be entering grades 8-12 for the 2014-2015 school year? Are you interested in volunteering at the library over the summer, and does encouraging people to read sound like your idea of fun? Come to an information session to learn about our Teen Summer Volunteer program!

     

  • The Writers Room Group

    Location: Princeton Room

    Writers can receive constructive feedback at these sessions, during which participants read their work and members offer suggestions. Works read are usually less than 15 minutes long, so there is time to discuss a number of pieces during each session. While nonfiction has been a focus in the past, fiction writers are welcome....
