DESCRIPTION
A non-profit youth services organization that helps children who have experienced trauma. It was originally founded as The Todd M. Beamer Foundation in memory of Todd Beamer who died in the crash of United Flight 93 on Sept. 11, 2001. The program is intended to help children emerge from setbacks prepared to deal with whatever lies ahead. There is a 12-month period of "resiliency training" for the children and provision to one parent/guardian of tools and knowledge based on the concept of the 40 deelopmental assets to support the children now and later in life

PROGRAMS
The 12-month program includes:
a fun, high-impact weekend retreat where a one-to-one mentoring relationship is established for the child

training in the 40 developmental assets for the child's caregiver and mentor

three additional training sessions for caregiver and mentor

bi-weekly mentor meetings

unique learning curriculum materials for all

bi-monthly newsletter

special activities, field trips, and a graduation celebration
