DESCRIPTION
A private, non-profit agency incorporated in 1978 to promote the welfare of people who are deaf-blind, deaf or blind, developmentally disabled, and communication impaired by providing and advocating for quality support and services.

SERVICES
Advocacy, family and community support services, training, residential services - Deaf-blind people
Public education/information - Deaf-blind issues

PROGRAMS
Community Support (CSS): Provides and coordinates statewide services to enable clients to maintain independent living in the community.

Family Support: Provides respite and training to parents of deaf-blind individuals statewide.

Recreation/Socialization: Provides special event trips in different regions of the state each month, as well as other regularly scheduled monthly activities. Also provides home visits to homebound clients.

Residential Services: Provides community living to individuals who are deaf-blind and developmentally disabled through group homes.

Training: Provides inservice training to agencies, schools, nursing homes and programs that work with individuals with deaf-blindness.

Employment Service: Provide employment training and paid employment to people who are deaf-blind and blind.
