DESCRIPTION
Incorporated as an educational group with 501(c)(3) status. Goal is to educate ourselves and the general public about recreational aviation. Many members are constructing or restoring their own aircraft. Others have completed and are flying their own aircraft. Others just share an interest in aviation. The national organization guiding principles for its chapters are "Flying, Fun, Food and Family"
PROGRAMS
Young Eagles Program: Simulates the interest of youngsters in the areas of Science, Math and Technology, all of which are essential elements of aviation. Rides in recreational aircraft are offered at no cost. The program is aimed at ages 8-17.

$25 per year. National dues are $40 per year and national membership is required for chapter membership.

SCHOLARSHIPS
None locally; national organization awards several scholarships in varying amounts for various purposes. They are used for both degree and non-degree programs in fields directly related to aviation. Specific fields of study supported include aerospace engineering, professional pilot training and aircraft maintenance
