DESCRIPTION
The 1719 William Trent House is the oldest building in Trenton. It is a rare example of early Georgian architecture in New Jersey and is situated within a walled, 2-acre site overlooking the Delaware River. Together with the Trent House Association, the City of Trenton offers daily tours and a variety of educational programs for children and adults. The Trent House Association is working to improve the accuracy of the furnishings using Trent's 1726 inventory. The site is open for daily tours 12:30 PM to 4:00 PM. Educational programs for children and adults may be scheduled on or off premises. These include a variety of hands-on "Colonial Kids" activities as well as activities relating to the Colonial kitchen garden
