DESCRIPTION
A local affiliate of a national non-profit organization whose main objective is to support and fund research to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through private funding. The organization awards research grants for laboratory and clinical investigations and sponsors a variety of career development and research training programs for new and established investigators. It also sponsors international workshops and conferences for biomedical researchers.
