DESCRIPTION
The local chapter of a national, non-profit organization which is
dedicated to finding cures for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's
disease and myeloma and to improving the quality of life for
patients and their families. The Southern New Jersey Chapter
includes all of Mercer County.
PROGRAMS
Patient Aid: A program which provides up to $500 per patient
per year on an outpatient basis. Call Colleen Thornton, Patient

First Connection: A peer-to-peer support program which
connects patients or family members with someone who has
had a similar diagnosis and background and who has already
been through treatment.
Family Support Groups: A program which offers a free monthly
support group for all persons affected by leukemia, lymphoma,
Hodgkin's Disease and myeloma, and their families.
Team in Training: An endurance sports training program which
provides coaching and training for athletes to enter national
and international athletic events, such as marathons, to raise
money for leukemia and lymphoma research.
