PROGRAMS
Child Assault Prevention (CAP): preschool to teenage workshops teaching kids to be "safe, strong and free".

No More Bullies, No More Victims: 3rd- to 8th-grade programs designed to sensitize kids to problems and consequences of bullying

Peaceful Solutions: Collaborative third-grade program designed to strengthen problem-solving skills and emphasize conflict resolution

Kids on the Block: puppet presentations to educate kids about personal safety, sexual and physical abuse

Adults & Children Together - Against Violence: training program that educates adults about early violence prevention with children, raises awareness about violence and child development, and helps build skills pertinent to social problem solving, discipline, anger management and media literacy. An advisory coalition of community leaders meets semi-annually.

Stress, Anxiety & Depression; Kids at Risk: program designed to educate adults and professionals in the community about mental health awareness, suicide prevention and available support services. Teaches skills to improve communication with children and provides coping strategies to help kids dealing with stress and anxiety.

Crisis Intervention for Child Victims of Sexual Abuse: immediate, short-term counseling for child victims of sexual abuse between the ages of 3 and 18 and their families after disclosure of abuse. Group meetings for parents, siblings and adolescents occur twice a month. Counseling is available in Spanish and English. Crisis Intervention also has an abuse-reactive counseling program for children under 12.

Juvenile Auto Theft Prevention/Juvenile Offenders Outreach Program: Designed to help first-time offenders recognize their behavior as inappropriate and foster self-worth, positive values, conflict resolution skills and respect for authority.

Anger Management: program geared towards middle school students who have been identified as disruptive and rebellious in school. this program seeks to instill in students recognition that their behavior is inappropriate and aims to foster self-worth, posibive values, conflict resolution skills and respect for authority.

Girls at Risk; Urban Survival: after-school program implemented in Trenton School District, via the 21st Century Community Learning Centers Program Grant, for 6th-grade girls transitioning from lower to middle school. Focuses on pre-adolescent and adolescent issues, positive peer support and issues particular to young women in urban settings.

Supervised Visitation and Adoption Resource Center Support Services: Programs that facilitate family visitation in the foster care system, with the ultimate goal of reunification or permanent placement.

Transportation Plus: A program which enables families and individuals involved in the foster care system to be transported to appointments that directly impact their care and welfare.
